| It is
the current trend to display and tolerance product specifications
and drawings on the basis of feature shapes and location rather
than on individual dimensions. The techniques and interpretations
for such product displays are contained in ASME Standard
Y14.5M.
This enables design engineers to state their specifications and
tolerances in a way that displays the product as the designer intends,
and that can be interpreted consistently. This methodology facilitates
production of complex parts and assemblies as they will properly
function.
In this seminar you will gain an understanding of the symbols used
in geometric tolerancing and dimensioning, as well as the standard
interpretations applied to this methodology.
